Onboarding
The Onboarding tile in the management environment lets you configure what staff see during their first login. You can show a pop-up message and require an onboarding video before the first-login steps are completed.
When to use onboarding
- Acceptance of terms of use or codes of conduct
- Notification of privacy policy changes
- Technical announcements such as maintenance or updates
- Safety reminders for using AI
- A required introduction video for new users
Configuring onboarding
The Onboarding tile is available in the management environment.
- Go to the management environment
- Select the Onboarding tile
- Enter the desired pop-up text
- Choose the frequency: Once or Periodic
- Optionally choose a Required video at first login

Required onboarding video
A required video is added to the first-login steps. The user can only continue after watching the video completely.
The list only shows published videos that have been marked as suitable onboarding videos for staff in video management.

| Frequency options | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Once | The message is shown once at first login |
| Periodic | The message returns after the configured number of months |
Leaving the text empty
If the pop-up text is left empty, no message is shown. A configured required video remains part of onboarding.

New users and onboarding
New users see this onboarding during their first visit. If a message has been configured, the user must read it. If a required video has also been configured, the user must watch it before continuing.
